Summer School on Human Development in Uzbekistan 2010
01/07/2010
Summer School on Human Development in Uzbekistan that will take place on September 11-12, 2010 invites your applications.
The idea and holistic vision of Human Development (HD) advocates that the true wealth of a country is in its people. The HD concept is about enlarging people’s choices and enhancing their capabilities and freedoms, enabling them to live a long and healthy life, have access to knowledge and a decent standard of living.
The HD phenomenon is in the center of attention of pubic authorities, international organizations, academic society, media and civil society and is taking growing recognition in Uzbekistan. HD paradigm is addressed in UNDP Human Development Reports in Uzbekistan since 1995, and offers an HD teaching for academic research and empirical analysis since 2008.
